If your track is too big tu upload it to 3D Rerun (btw. to upload map witch track You have to use QuickRoute) you can simplify it using GPS Babel. With this powerful tool (with GUI) you can also manipulate and convert time, way-points, routes, tracks, etc. To split track I've used GPS Master - it's written in Java.

I've used Quickroute, but there is still no new version since 2011-12-27. It's still works even in Windows 10!

For now the best on-line tool is 3D Rerun page. It is in open beta-testing, but it works pretty well. You can display GPX track on map, compare to competitors or just see how you roam again.

I've got a question: How to add map to Navit - step-by-step.

On Android it's pretty simple. You have to press "Menu" button, then "Download maps" and choose desired region.

I've just spend more than hour to find QuickRoute ... again. So I've decided to put this post just to remember.

If You want to display track on some specific map (i.e. orienteering map with control points) it's a solution. One disadvantage - it depends on .NET so it works only under MS Windows.

It's quite old (December 2011), but works even on Windows 8.

Zainstalowałem sobie program Navit z dystrybucji (Mandriva 2010.2). Zaraz po instalacji dodałem mu mapę Polski.

Przegrałem plik poland.bin (wygenerowany z mapy OpenStreetMap poleceniem osm2navit) i plik poland.xml który zawierał:

<map type="binfile" enabled="yes" \
data="$NAVIT_SHAREDIR/maps/poland.bin"/>

do katalogu /usr/share/navit/maps. Po ponownym uruchomieniu programu miałem już dostęp do mapy Polski.

Just my blog...
