If your track is too big tu upload it to 3D Rerun (btw. to upload map witch track You have to use QuickRoute) you can simplify it using GPS Babel. With this powerful tool (with GUI) you can also manipulate and convert time, way-points, routes, tracks, etc. To split track I've used GPS Master - it's written in Java.

I've used Quickroute, but there is still no new version since 2011-12-27. It's still works even in Windows 10!

For now the best on-line tool is 3D Rerun page. It is in open beta-testing, but it works pretty well. You can display GPX track on map, compare to competitors or just see how you roam again.

It's hard to find, but there is Burn Disc Image (Narzędzie nagrywania obrazu dysku systemu Windows):

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\isoburn.exe

To disable (or enable) right-click context menu in Firefox you can open about:config in new tab and find dom.event.contextmenu.enabled option. You can change the value simply by double click.

I've found nicer invoice template. It's defined in files:

  • taxinvoice.scm
  • taxinvoice.eguile.scm
  • taxinvoice.css

It's heavily customizable, so you probably wouldn't need change those files.

I'm looking for some software for manage my electronic parts inventory. For now I'm testing two:

  • PartKeepr - is Open Source so you can install it on your own server
  • PartsBox.io - rather young, one-man project

Both of them use Octopart.

I have to use MS Windows OS (version 10 64bit), and I have problem with PL 2303 chip (VID: 067B PID: 2303). As many others I've got Error 10.

I've checked Prolific USB To Serial Driver Fix! and driver from their site - for now it works. The driver version is 3.6.78.350... or 3.3.2.102 if you check details ;-)

I wonder what will happen after reboot...

To find duplicates photos isn't easy, especially when you have them a lot. I've found two methods: imgdupes (a Python script) and DupDetector (quite old - 2002, MS Windows application).

To manage my photos I've used F-spot, but it's quite old (2010) and when number of files coming to 30000 importing new files was painful.

I ponder two applications: Shotwell and piwigo.org. There third option is to use both of them with piwigoshotwell as connector.
While Shotwell is desktop application (can import F-spot database), the Piwigo (formerly PhpWebGallery) is web based software.

Darktable could also be good, but CentOS isn't supported...

I had a problem witch language switching on site where I use two addresses: mysite.eu and mysite.pl. One in English and second in Polish of course (how to do this I've described years ago). After some changes I could change language from English to Polish, but not from Polish to English. Even change from English to English redirect me to mysite.pl (in Polish).

The solution is to check settings/override/site.ini.append.php file. The default installation places there all settings including SiteURL=mysite.pl (in SiteSettings section). Of course in my case (two different addresses) the SiteURL can be defined only in settings/siteaccess/eng/site.ini.append.php and settings/siteaccess/pol/site.ini.append.php files. The values are SiteURL=mysite.eu in first file and SiteURL=mysite.pl in second one.

Now switching works great in both directions.
